The Mother

This sentence, or prayer, is presently circulating in our minds and our hearts. This is one of the aspects of the work in Auroville that has to be realized. We have all come here to build Auroville. We know there is a need for the ego to be abandoned in order to participate in a greater, wider activity. We feel the time has come to achieve this, to learn to work together from within, to become a Symphony of the Divine Creation.

Making flower mandalas in the Matrimandir Gardens is not only an activity where we are bringing together flowers from different parts of Auroville but also an activity – among others – which can contribute to achieving unity in Auroville.

Aurovilians, New Comers, Guests, children, adults coming from different parts of the world, we learn to be sensitive towards each other and to unite in thanking Mother Earth for all the wonders she is so generously giving to all of us. Often in the process the gift is that we become one, forgetting time and space, forgetting ourselves and what we are doing.

By the power of the collective aspiration of more and more such prayers the Manifestation of the New World and the New Consciousness will more and more be realised on Earth.
